Cineca is an amazing party chick and a member of my Party Posse--a group of party chicks who have supported this lil' piggy from the beginning. She's not only a talented event planner but she's also the Princess of Cake Pops! Here's what Cineca had to say about her "high on the hog" celebration...
This Arkansas Razorback "Kickoff" Party was for a 1st Birthday. The parents of 1 year old, Austin, are huge Razorback fans, so I knew I could go overboard with the theme and they would love it!
We had a Red Velvet Razorback cake...
...a cookie cake...
...Rice Krispie pops drizzled with chocolate...
...M&M's...
...football shaped Oreos & mini candy bars on the Sweets Table.
The Food Table consisted of BBQ Lil Piggies,
Pulled Hog Sandwiches, Razorback Cheesy Dip,
Petrino Potato Salad & Hog Wild Baked Beans.
Games and fun for the kiddos included getting
Razorback Red Mohawks, a football throwing contest...
...and pin the tail on the Hog.
I LOVE this party for numerous reasons...the hog {aka a heavy pig}, lots of red, AMAZING cake and this lil' piggy flips for themed foods! Pig L.O.V.E.s the HOG!
I wanted to get to know Cineca a bit better. Here's my lil' interview with her...
Do you do this as a full- or part-time job or is it just for fun? Planning parties, fundraisers and weddings & making Custom Cake Pops, along with being a mommy, is my full-time job.
If a business, how long have you been in business? I officially opened Dreamin' N Details in September of 2010, but I've been a party girl for a very long time! It has been an amazing 4 months, so far :)
How did you get started? In 3rd grade, I showed up to school with a detailed plan for our Valentine's day party...complete with a theme, Young Love, color scheme and a candy table :) And I've been planning events & parties ever since. Dreamin' N Details was the perfect opportunity for me to do what I loved as a career and to stay at home with my 2 year old!
What penny pinching ideas/tips went into your event? I am the queen of what we, in our house, call "Ballin' On A Budget." We want to have the most fun possible without going broke! In order to make that happen, I begin planning every event well in advance. That way I can do a lot of bargain shopping! I hit clearance sales, reuse items as often as possible and make as much of the food, goodies & decorations as I can! With a little planning, a few personal touches & a lot of attention to detail...everyone's party dreams can come true! xoxo- Cineca @ Dreamin' N Details
