my valentine: an illustrated love affair

A warm August evening in 2006 changed my life forever.

My husband, J, headed to his first drawing class

at the local community college

in hopes of finding a new direction in his life...

or at least a hobby he loved.

He discovered something more.

Something extraordinary.

A talent he enjoyed as a kid...

...but never pursued.

He is an artist.

J never felt extraordinary. Just plain ordinary.

It wasn't until he took that pencil in his hand

that something changed forever.
