{real cards} 40 fabulous years!

Fabulous is the perfect word to describe J's sister, Kris! She is funny, sweet, stunningly beautiful, an amazing mom and this week's featured birthday girl! We are working on a new line of products for The Market and I was super excited for an excuse to design one. Here's what I created....

Inspiration: My inspiration was Kris' sunny disposition so yellow was the perfect color. After a few color combinations and a few unkind words to my inkjet printer...black was the perfect fit!

The Cake Stakes were created by punching 2 inch circles and 2 inch scalloped circles out of black, yellow and our polka dot "sentiment" cardstock. I attached the black and yellow circles with adhesive dots to both sides of the stake. For extra dimension, I attached the "sentiment" circles with a pop-up adhesive dot.

We created printable versions for The Market and turned the birthday card into an invitation you can use for any occasion. The Mod Dots Invitation, Mod Dots Cake Stakes and Mod Dots Scrapbook Paper are now available in two colors--yellow or red. Check out the red and black version at The Market which would be great for a "Twilight" event.
